Learning from your students

Today, I was amazed at the art work my Biology students presented. Their assignment was to build a cell city that would represent a plant or animal cell. I saw so many interesting projects illustrating their learning. One group in particular built their cell city to resemble Times Square. The nucleus was Good Morning America because they said that is where all the information is received and given. They made Broadway the Golgi Apparatus because they said it modifies and repackages movies into musicals. Today was a good teaching day.
